At the beginning of February we decided to go to Lapland, a region so special and so well known.
It was essential for us to have a look at Rovaniemi and to go skiing in Levi.
So we took a car and Pierre-Sacha drove us there.
There were 4 of us Nicolas, Manon, Pierre-Sacha and Mathieu
For hours on end, we admired the difference between being isolated in the middle of the world and the wonder of the flat Finnish landscape.
Arriving in Rovaniemi was very impressive, with the light reflecting so strongly off the clouds.
And above all, we all entered the Arctic Circle for the first time.
The day after our arrival, we had planned to go to Levi, Finland’s largest ski resort.
So we took a day pass and our Swiss friends joined us and we had a great time.
The next day, we wanted to continue skiing with pierre sacha while the others went dog-sledding.
It was a real breath of fresh air to be able to ski in an area surrounded by nature and, above all, a mountain in the middle of the flat Finnish landscape.
If you compare it with France, there are fewer people, the slopes are bigger and there are fewer of them, but you appreciate them more.
The weather is unfortunately quite unpredictable and very often cloudy or misty.
